help with 1st birthday party…..?
hi! my daughter is 11 months old—will be one on the 31st of this month, and i am trying to start organising a party for her. i have a few ideas i wanna chuck out there and basically just after some feedback/advice suggestions and what not

we were thinking of having a bbq for family and friends with a few simple games … like pass the parcel…any other ideas for games/activities??
so Amanda (our daughter) is an Aquarius and just, naturally, loves water!! so i was thinking of getting her a little wadding pool/shells and putting that up for the party and i was thinking about themes some ides ive had are

**zodiac (either hers or in general?)
**water baby (kinda broad theme to make it easy i guess??)
** mermaids
**fishies
** beach theme

and also wondering…should i make it a ‘dress up party’ like get the kids to dress up themed or something, but keep it simple, obviously.

a BBQ is a good idea but water is at least to me scarywith lots of little ones running around. thats u having to never take r eyes off how ever many kids…get her a special dress or princess outfit and have her be the one dressed up…in my opinion a dress up party is hard on the parents sometimes…if someone doesnt have the $ to get their kid an outfit its hard on the kids and the arents feel horrible…zodiac is probley a little old for her we think its really kool but she wont understand… u could rent a bouncy house…those r really fun for kids they can jump to their hearts content!!! try googleing party supplies and u should be able to find lots of options that will help u narrow things down and maybe give u some ideas of things to do…..pinyatas are fun but she may be still too young for that too.

maybe if u want to do the dress up thing u could provide the clothes for them….get a gaint cardboard box and turn it into a closet …sho…es..scarfs…necklaces ( be careful of the choking hazzard) robes…find a game or activity that they can all do together….something they can take home and keep….i dont know where u are but in texas we have everythings a dollar (for real) stores and they have throw away cameras….if u go to consignment stores they would have alot of dress up clothes…wedding veils…..im probley thinking too old for her with all this but it sounds cute!!! i have boys so cars mud and robots r the bomb!!! google 1 year old girls and it will tell u what changes they r going trough and whats developing and key in on that…sorry now im rambeling….best of luck to u….she’ll love the presents and dont forget to get a big cake for everyone and a mini cake just for her have the camera ready they r too cute destroying their own personal cake and oh ya….just hose her off when shes done its easier for both of u!!!! happy birthday Amanda!

I think a nice family BBQ is sufficient. There is no need to go over the top for a first birthday party, your daughter isn’t going to remember it and is likely to get grumpy because of all the people.

Keep it small with just very close family and friends to avoid your little one having a meltdown.

Can i pick up a ups package before the schedule delivery date?
I want to know if it is possible to pick up ups ground packages before they deliver it with their trucks. I ordered a bunch of products from a internet site. Some are already at the close ups station near by but arent scheduled for delivery till tomorrow while most are scheduled to deliver on thursday but are already on theeir way to the local station and should be their either by tonight or tomorrow morning.

Do you think if i drive up to the station tomorrow afternoon, will i be able to pick up the packages that are going to be delivery on Thursday instead of waiting another day?

Unfortunately not…UPS has cargo containers that holds hundreds of packages in one can alone that is 10′ x 6′ 1/2". They are sorted at "hubs" (places where packages are transferred to go to an exact place). Once the cargo can is closed, it is sealed for privacy and protection of the packages for clients. Only opened when being loaded upon a truck. Hope this finds you helpful!

Usually UPS will not allow this because they packed up the packages by destination and delivery date so they will not dig through their packages to get to your package. Otherwise there will be lines for people picking up packages and slow down their process.

Symptoms:

–Depersonalization: All the time. For more than a year. I can tell the difference between being awake and asleep, but everything feels like a dream. I’m moving my arms, My brain is telling them to move, but I don’t feel in control. It’s like my thoughts, my conscience and my mind are all miles away. My senses are dulled too. It’s like looking, touching, tasting, smelling, and hearing close up, but from far away. It literally seems like there’s a barrier between reality myself.

–I feel dull, emotionless. Even if I laugh, or feel happy, it doesn’t seem like I am. I got 200 dollars for christmas (although I didn’t do anything to celebrate) and I was happy. But I was unhappy. I can’t explain it well….

–Apathy. Sometimes I’m thinking about something, really hard. But then I just don’t want too anymore and I literally think "OHH!!!! Who cares anymore…", and this affects everything.

–Nervousness. Particularly about school. Everyday, particularly Sundays, I can’t help but feel horrible about the fact that I have to go to school the next day. I don’t do my work anymore, but even the times when I did, I’d still feel unusually guilty. Going to school makes me feel worthless, like I’m lazy and good for nothing. Because of that, I’m absent too much and my grades are dying, which only makes me feel worse. It’s a horrible cycle. I feel horrible even when I have summer vacation. Even if I passed, I still feel like I didn’t do anything. I used to be a good student too.

-Shaky hands. They shake everyday. In science class, if we’re dealing with test tubes, I’m afraid I’ll break mine.

–ALWAYS tired. Always. This fatigue also somehow makes me less motivated. I don’t do the things I used to, nor do I find them interesting.

–Horrible memory. Long term. It’s hard to remember the day before. I can barely remember things that happened this year, last year, or anything. It’s almost like I skipped a few years.

–I just sort of… do things without being into it. Something like "going through the motions of life, without experiencing it." I honestly cannot believe I’m in 8th grade. I feel like at least 2 years of my life were in hyper speed.

–Unresponsive. Which is to say, I don’t feel like responding when I’m in a situation I don’t want to be in. Like in school. I have friends, and I talk to them. But a lot of the time, I’m just not interested. I just want to go home and rest. I do my best to contribute to the conversation in some way, and I’ll make up things if necessary, but sometimes I don’t want to open my mouth, so I just say "uhn" or at most "yeah".

–I can’t concentrate. I haven’t learned anything at school. Even if I think I’m concentrating, I’ll start thinking of something else and completely forget what was going on before. My mind also goes blank a lot.

I got blood tests at my doctor, and they were negative. I was referred to a psychiatrist and a neurologist, but I’m still really nervous, so I post questions like this.

Yes, as in your other answers, it sounds like depression. The thing about depression is that it causes an imbalance of natural ‘chemicals’ in your brain. It’s not something you can snap out of or just get over on your own, and it’s not going to show up in a blood test. The blood test will rule out other possbilities, such as thyroid problems, but can’t diagnose depression. Please see another dr, a psychiatrist is a good choice too – did you see one? If you did and he didn’t help you, go to another dr.

Yes i was like this. Especially anxious about school. What camera takes good pictures at night and is under $200?
My old camera was a 6 megapixel Samsung. It was pretty great. The only gripe I have is that it took poor pictures at night. We had some good times together, but tragically, I crushed it with my car. I’m now looking for a good camera that isn’t over $200, $250 max and I want it to be able to take good pictures at night. The Samsung took good pictures if I was able to keep it completely still. Any ideas?

Night time pictures are not very easy for a "pocket camera" to do. Especially since the flash is only good for about 6 feet.

Most of the newer P&S cameras will shoot at ISO’s of 1600.

All P&S cameras will be noisy at 1600 ISO to some extent basically because the sensors are so small.

If you have tripod and the camera can shoot exposures of 15 seconds or more, you can shoot at lower ISO’s and reduce the noise.

Are you sure pyschic powers don't exist?
This topic is on my mind a lot and I just want to get it off my mind. I don’t like saying the word Psychic because it sounds dumb but I want this to make as much sense as possible. I was talking to someone the other day about this. How come we have a lot of problems, is it because we think about them all the time so it happens to you? If you persist on something that’s on your mind all the time it will happen. Like for an example a lot of people are persistent on not gaining weight but it’s on their mind so they gain weight. Why not think about not being skinny? Instead of being heavy replace it with being skinny and it will happen. In other words what I’m saying is our thoughts effects yourself and what happens around us. I believe our thoughts make us who we are, what we look like (even though we get that from genes too but we also get our way of thinking from genes), and can even attract things to us. I got many examples like… when you’re thinking about someone and they call right at that moment. I believe your thoughts also attract other people… like for example how you fall in love I believe when you are thinking about that person that person is thinking about you when you don’t even know it.. I mean it’s really hard to believe and explain to you guys but I believe we have a mind power that been blocked from us the day we started growing up. I don’t believe you can "lift things up" with our minds or "leave" our bodies. I’m not a stoner or some druggie or alcoholic. I believe us humans project things to eachother by our minds. Like for example how can you tell a funny joke and make people laugh? It’s because you are picturing it in your head to BE funny. Now when you tell a joke that’s not funny when your telling it either your unsure or your worried about what people will think and they won’t laugh or if they do they just don’t get it or just trying to be nice. But you can always tell by their faces. Like you are attracted to someone and fall in love. They are always on your mind and you got that want inside and picturing get it… "picturing" them in your mind and at the same time they are picturing you. Even if they don’t like you and it’s just a crush that you got but your unsure that they don’t like you either because your fat or what ever insecurity you got and that will make them think of you in that way. You get where I’m coming from? In other words I believe humans are all like living radio towers… we send thoughts to eachother and we don’t even know it! I believe that’s how every bad thing happens to us in life and how every good thing happens in our lives. Like for example a kid that goes to school that gets picked on. Even before the day he started going he would be unsure about it and think about it and without anyone even knowing him would be attracted to that and treat him as he is one and the same goes with someone who goes to school thinking the complete opposite. Someone that thinks high of themselves and calm and those thoughts of being picked aren’t on his mind so it won’t happen to him. I’m just using examples, I believe the law of attraction is very real, just as real as the law of gravity. I mean I’ve done things that most of you would think is impossible with my mind and I’m trying to explain it as best as possible without sounding like a total loon. I know someone who reads this will know what I’m talking about. I know I’m not the only one who knows what I’m talking about and I know this will get a lot of trolling and people calling me an idiot or liar or not true or come up with some bullsh*t but I know I have done things and found out things that are very real and I really can’t prove it in a way that makes sense. All I can really say is you gotta have my mindset to understand what I am talking about and you will know what I am saying is true. And I believe our government the people who are in the highest power in this country knows what I’m talking about and understand something we as average day people don’t understand and that’s how they keep the economy going, keep their laws intact, and have power. Like for example I don’t know if anyone heard of the freemasons? But the freemasons are the ones in power of this country. They are a secret society. And I believe their secret is what I’m talking about. Notice how they have books of every popular religion in the world and they do some sort of meditation over them. It’s because they are using their thoughts to make belief of the book. They are putting energy into the books that will MAKE people believe them. Notice how there our a high number of Christians and Muslims. Why is their a bible in every motel room every jail cell and the most common religion in the world? The bible puts fear into us. They are making us believe what they WANT us to believe. Don’t you people see? And one thing the bible forbids us not to do is practice witchcraft the same is in the muslim religion to. I’m just saying, we don’t need diets or plastic surgery or nice bodies to attract "good looking" people. We can do that ourselves by projecting ourselves to become just that. But we been so brainwashed into thinking it’s impossible so it is. The knowledge I know isn’t controllable. It’s impossible to control yourself into thinking positive about yourself 24/7 but if you do you WILL change.

YES, I really understand and agree with these things you are saying !! i even experience some also , so i think the same things !!! it is very funny how u think of some1 and then they call u, or if u talk about some1 who u havent seen in awhile , suddenly u decide to leave home and u happen to see that person you talked about!! its alot of strange things like that , but i think we as humans will probably never find the answer to why …. i pay attention to just about everything if not everything!! so im curious about these things also! )))) i think this was something interesting u wrote !!!

It could be a wart, they are not uncommon, also you could have a "fissure" or something similar.
I’d go get it checked by your local GP, they will most likely have a cure for it.

oh you have a boil.
my little brother use to get them all the time.
to get rid of it, you need to poor boiling hot water into a glass bottle and leave it for about 5 minutes. then empty it. (you will need someone to put it right on the boil.) you place the lid part fight over the top of the boil, with no lid. and leave it for about 10 minutes. it will hurt, really bad. onced its taken off its gone.
